Dr. Denise Koessler Gosnell has built her career at the intersection of advanced data technologies and real-world impact. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science specializing in graph algorithms, launched a database engine at Amazon Web Services, and authored two influential books: Tech Confidential and The Practitioner’s Guide to Graph Data. Her engineering work has scaled into production at global systems including Wiz, Snapchat, and Netflix, and she has become a recognized authority on how graph technology powers modern AI and data-driven applications. At Amazon, DataStax, and multiple startups, Denise learned firsthand how to lead through rapid change, build inclusive teams, and navigate the pressures of high-stakes technical environments. These experiences reinforced her conviction that the most effective leaders are not only strong technologists but also those who create space for others to thrive. At her core, Denise is a teacher. She brings clarity and humor to complex topics, translating the latest in graph data and AI into tools leaders can use to solve real problems. Today she equips technical and business teams to move past the “not technical enough” myth and leverage graph technology as a foundation for building scalable, trustworthy, and financially impactful AI systems.
