Fares Fourati
Postdoctoral researcher
Fares Fourati is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the UKP Lab at TU Darmstadt in Germany. He completed his Ph.D. and M.Sc. at KAUST, and his work has appeared at leading AI/ML/NLP venues, including ICML, AAAI, AISTATS, and EMNLP. Before that, he received his Diplôme d’Ingénieur from École Polytechnique de Tunisie in Tunisia, where his training focused on mathematics, physics, and multidisciplinary engineering. His research spans reinforcement learning, large language models, deep learning, and optimization, with a particular focus on human–AI collaboration and the development of capable, human-centered AI systems.
