Matthew Bonanni
Machine Learning Engineer
Matthew Bonanni is a vLLM maintainer and Machine Learning Engineer at Red Hat. His work focuses on implementation and performance optimization of attention mechanisms and speculative decoding. He received his PhD from Stanford University in Mechanical Engineering in 2025, where his research addressed computational fluid dynamics of reacting flows in aerospace propulsion systems. He also holds an MS from Stanford University and a BS from Northeastern University.
