Savya Khosla is a second-year Ph.D. student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, advised by Prof. Derek Hoiem and Prof. Alex Schwing. His research spans: (1) Representation Learning: Developing region-based visual representations that improve efficiency and performance compared to conventional patch-based representations. (2) Long-Form Video Understanding: Enabling fine-grained retrieval and reasoning over long videos through streaming architectures and memory integration. (3) Multimodal Learning: Building unified architectures that can understand and generate vision, language, audio, and even bio-signals.
